Established in 2013, The Caring Closet is a growing, non-profit ministry serving Saginaw County and supported by area churches, businesses, and individuals.
At the Caring Closet, we believe everyone deserves a nourishing meal, no matter what life throws their way. We’re your community’s safety net, providing healthy groceries, friendship, and Godly support to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Whether it’s temporary hardship or ongoing challenges, we bridge the gap between empty shelves and full plates, building smiles and brighter futures along the way.
At the Caring Closet, we collect and distribute clothing and household items at no charge to those in need. We welcome quality donations and it’s a great way to keep your clothing out of landfills while also providing a valuable resource to the less fortunate!
Ways to help:

Pick vegetables when they’re ready—maybe on the Fridays each month before the Saturday that the Caring Closet is open.
Pray that God will honor our efforts.
Our vision is based on 1 John 3:17
“If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has not pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?”
